Duties and responsibilities
|
Based
on assignments from the Expediting & Inspection Category Manager, the
Expediter will:
Define,
in agreement with the Post Order Manager and the Expediting & Inspection
Category Manager/Head of Department, the type and frequency of expediting
activities, aligned with the supply budget. Monitor
progress and adherence to the expediting budget using company tools. Activate
all communication channels with the supplier to ensure maximum functionality
and efficiency throughout the supply process. Identify
and define key supply phases with the vendor and monitor compliance. Report
negative deviations with detailed communications outlining the issue,
expected impacts, and recovery actions planned or agreed upon with the
supplier. Validate,
in coordination with the Post Order Manager and Category Manager/Head of
Department, any quality issues that could affect contractual delivery
timelines, including inspection scheduling. Ensure,
with technical support, that the vendor produces all contractually required
documentation, especially key documents necessary for supply continuity. Monitor
approval cycle times for project documentation listed in the “Vendor
Deliverable List,” and promote interventions between vendor and technical
services when delays could impact contractual deadlines. Produce
expediting reports on schedule and after any supplier-related activity. Request
advance information from the supplier on weights, volumes, preliminary
packing lists, and transport drawings, and verify their accuracy. Analyze
expediting reports from external agencies, flag issues, and coordinate
corrective actions with the Post Order Manager and relevant functions,
monitoring their implementation and outcomes. Ensure
compliance with contracts when using external agencies for expediting. Upon
successful final inspection, release the technical clearance of the material
using company tools.
